Chapter 16:12
And it came to pass, when Jethro my father-in-law came to me, Moses, and my sons and my wife, Zipporah, in the wilderness to the mountain of God, where he was encamped; and as soon as I saw them,
I immediately went out to meet my father-in-law, and bowed, and kissed him, and after asking each other about their well being, we went into my tent, where I told my father-in-law what Jehovah had done to Pharaoh and the Egyptians because of Israel, and all the tribulations that passed in the way, and how the Lord delivered us out of the hand of Amalek with the help of Aaron and Hur.
Does this imply that Pharaoh was a descendant of Amalek? and that's why he was so adamant not to let us go like today...
Absolutely 🙏🏼 Sis Dita
If I’m correct, after they were delivered from Pharoah and Egypt, they encountered Amalek on the other side of the sea. Now I might be WAY WAY OFF so take this with a grain of salt but lately I been trying to find out if Amalek was the Olmecs. And if the Amorites were the Amaru. The Olmecs left behind Giant heads. We know that Joshua fought against giants. Amalek also sounds like Olmec. The Olmecs were destroyed and today we cannot seem to find any knowledge of them. Also, The Amalekites and the Amorites were canaanites. Both were dwelling in the Land of Canaan (America) when Joshua arrived. When I research the Amorites, I found that they worshiped a deity named Amurru. They also were still in the land after the Israelites settled. Is it a coincidence that the Ancient Americans were called Amaru Khans? Could they have been the Amorites? Could the Olmecs have been the Amalekites? I’m still learning and have a long way to go in scripture and history but if anyone can add to this or clear it up, please let me know.
