2Nephi Ch 4:17 Oh wretched man that I am, Yea, my heart sorroweth because of my flesh; my soul grieveth because of mine iniquities. (sin)
Vs 19 And when I desire to rejoice, my heart groaneth because of my sins; nevertheless, I know in whom I have trusted.
Vs 27 And why should I yield to sin, because of my flesh? Yea why should I give way to temptations, that the evil one have place in my heart to destroy my peace and afflict my soul?
Vs 32 May the gates of hell be shut continually before me, because my heart is broken and my spirit is contrite...

Shalom, Yes, when we realize how we have grieved the MH by our actions, whether ignorantly, or willfully,, and now have come to understand his loving kindness he extends to us , we can not but be but truly sorry and repentant, to the extent of having contrite spirit and a broken heart,desiring never to disappoint our Father again.
