I don't know if you have this book already but it is a great description of the natives. I'm also trying to confirm if the Nephites and Lamanites were the Carib and Arawak Indians. They are both similar to the Book of Mor in that they were both in a perpetual war, were different shades of color, and the Arawak were the 1st ones to see Columbus coming. Check it out.
