Did you know that you can formally request for companies to completely delete your data under the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)?
Hey it’s something Amalek uses all the time and Trump may use it too to defend himself during these impeachment inquiries in the background. However it is an EU (European Union) regulation and may be used with caution in the US.
But if you’re in the UK or EU or dealing with a company who has offices in the EU, it’s worth a shot.
But it’s a right for regular citizens so why not use it in our Nation?
Basically you have a right to tell companies (including social media companies, marketing companies, folks you’ve ended business with, etc. to formally delete and “forget“ your information. Thus, possibly wiping out the trails to your sordid past on social media, or that closed bank account that keeps rearing its head when you apply for jobs, etc. It also helps when companies are selling your info to third parties because they have to formally inform them of the request as well at THEIR expense. Killing multiple birds with one letter, possibly.
it’s like using a side door to break a flaxen cord. Strategy.
Anyway...the links attached will explain further. It may help us end a lot of “framing” situations too...
any little bit helps. Feel free to read and explore for yourself.
