BY FAITH He was Translated

For nearly a thousand years Adam lived among men, a witness to the results of sin.

Faithfully he sought to stem the tide of evil.

“He carefully treasured what The Most High had revealed to him to

his children, and his children’s children, to the ninth generation.

He described and repeated the history of his fall, telling them of the sufferings by which AhaYah had taught him the necessity of strict adherence to His law, and explaining to them the merciful provisions made for their salvation”.

Although Adam Fell He fell that men might be.

2Neph 2:25,26 (BkMoses 5:10), Galat.3:13, Isa. 44:23

“From the lips of Adam: Enoch learned the dark story of the Fall,

and the cheering one of The Most High’s grace as seen in the

promise; and he relied upon the Redeemer to come.

“Of Enoch it is written that he lived sixty-five years, and begat

a son.(Irad) After that he walked with The Creator three hundred

and sixty five years. (D&C 107:49, Moses 6:34, Gen. 5:21,22

Enoch became a preacher of righteousness, making known to the people what Ahayah had revealed to him. Those who feared the Lord sought out this holy man, to share his instruction and his prayers.

He labored publicly also, bearing The Most High’s messages to all

who would hear the words of warning. “He Prophesied

Behold,” he declared, “the Lord cometh with ten thousands of

His saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that

are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds.” Jude1:14,15

Duet.33:2, D&C 99:5

By the translation of Enoch the Lord designed to teach an important lesson; taught by Adam , moved forward by Seth, and exemplified by Enoch.

For Satan was urging upon men the belief that there was no reward for the righteous or punishment for the wicked, and that it was impossible for men to obey the divine statutes.

But in the case of Enoch, The Most High declares that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6. Psalms9:10, 1Neh.2:19

... for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased The Most High. The eternal human Salvation was exibited upon him; deliverance from his enemy’s.”Hebrews 11:5-7, 1Neph 7:12, James 1:3

"In the midst of a world by its iniquity doomed to destruction, Enoch lived a life of such close communion with The Creator that he was not permitted to fall under the power of death. D&C 38:4 Gen 5:24"

"The prophet represents the state of holiness which must be attained by those who shall be “redeemed from the earth”(Revelation 14:3)

at the time of Christ’s second advent. Isa.52:93, Neph16:19

"Ahayah’s people will seek for purity of heart and conformity

to His will, until they shall reflect the likeness of Maschiac. Like

Enoch, they will warn the world of the Lord’s second coming and

of the judgments to be visited upon transgression, and by their holy conversation and example they will condemn the sins of the ungodly."

"As Enoch was translated to heaven before the destruction of the world by water, so the living righteous will be translated from the earth before its destruction by fire."

"Says the apostle: “We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump. 1 Corinthians 15:51,52 D&C 45:12

“The dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain

shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:

and so shall we ever be with the Lord. ” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18.

John 5:28,29, D&C 63:49
